Energy density and portion size: their independent and combined effects on energy intake

Authors:Kral, T. V. E. and Rolls, B. J.
Again, much of this research rides on the obesity funding train, and it only observes energy intake is increased with portion size being larger as well as when the density of the food is of higher calorie content. Certainly useful perhaps within the context of re-feeding those with restrictive eating disorders, but provides no data on why an optimal weight is maintained despite increases in portion size and calorie density.
